


Twelve Great-Grandchildren Brothers Bill (Verona) Martin of Chaffee, ND, Wesley (Verna) Martin Carrington, ND., Philip (Darlene) Martin, Andover, MN., and Roger (Pauline) Martin, Napoleon, ND., Sisters Virginia (Leon) Johnson, Fargo, ND, Rose (Pat) Markovic, Wilmington, DE. Eleven grandchildren: Beth (Josh) Oien, Laura (John) Pitzl, Danny (Katy) Irmen Travis (Jennifer) Koehn, Nikole and Haley Koehn Jessie (Denis) Paquette, Leah Radisewitz, Alyssa (Nathan) Domagala Kara and Jacob Martin. He is survived by his children: Ann (Don) Irmen Nancy (Mark) Koehn all of Fargo N.D., Karen (Cary) Radisewitz of Luverne, MN. He will be remembered for his quiet strength and strong enthusiastic spirit. He was inspired by nature and valued its beauty in every season. Alan served on several boards, acted as treasurer for his churches, and recently initiated a scholarship at Lake Region State College in business for individuals interested in management of rural co-operatives.Īlan loved to experience new people and places. He was a dedicated supporter of the Green Bay Packers. In 1992, Alan retired, eventually turning over his business to his son John, who had worked with him for 12 years.īeing an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. The couple made their home in Devils Lake, North Dakota, where he has resided to the present day.Īlan was a Licensed Public Accountant, working with Farmers Union Central Exchange for 60 years. He met Doris Ann Liddle and they were united in marriage September 20, 1953. In 1946 enrolled at Dakota Business College in Fargo. Peter's Lutheran Church, and graduated from Chaffee High School in 1944. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.Īlan Charles Martin was born Jin his family home in Chaffee, North Dakota, the second of eight children born to William and Ada (Hacke) Martin.

Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Devils Lake with burial in the Christianson Cemetery, rural Park River, ND later in the spring.

Martin, 85 of Devils Lake, ND died Friday morning, Apat Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.įuneral Services will be held on Wednesday, Apat 11:00 a.m.
